The “Massive Program Documentation” describes a platform called “Massive” for organizing single-elimination bracket events for games. The platform uses “Bracket-UI” for users to interact with game brackets, manage match validation, and share details.

Key points:

Users must be at least 18 years old and register with an email.

There’s a one-time $10 USD purchase for the Massive application and a subscription fee after a 30-day free trial.

The platform tracks performance metrics like win/loss ratios and user efficiency. Poor efficiency can lead to account termination.

Seasons run yearly from Jan 10th – Dec 10th, with user rankings based on performance.

There are two main roles:

Players  & Officials (who validate matches).

Officials require a separate application process and create bracket matches based on a monthly pot evaluation.

Bracket creators (Officials) specify the number of participants (max 100) and manage match scheduling.

Match types include FFA (Single Round) and Solo/Duo (Multiple Rounds), each with specific workflows.

Revenue is generated through application purchases, subscriptions, and service fees.

Prize pools are funded from revenue, with payouts based on performance. Officials are also compensated.

All players must submit video recordings of their gameplay. Disputes are resolved by Officials or the Massive application team.

Match reporting and social feedback metrics are used, with user ratings for efficiency.

Massive Program Documentation

1.0 Introduction

1.1 Overview and Workflow

The “Massive Bracket Event System,” hereafter referred to as “Massive,” is a platform designed to organize standalone single-elimination bracket-based events for games and creative endeavors. A Bracket is a single elimination “event” resulting in a single winning person or team. “BracketUI” is the application that allows users to interact with a game bracket that is displayed to track the match’s progression, share game and user details, and manage steps for match validation.

Platform users must be at least 18 years of age. Registration requires the use of an email address.

Upon initial registration on the website, a user account is established. Following registration, users are directed to purchase and download the Massive application for $10 USD. This is a one-time fee for software and platform access. Users must also subscribe to the platform to participate in events after a 30 day free trial.

Within the application, users log in using their registered credentials. Once account setup is complete, users may select a game and bracket type for participation. Each bracket type for each game is presented individually, displaying both active and pending brackets.

The BracketUI in the Massive application is where bracket events are joined or created.

The platform tracks performance metrics, including user win/loss ratios. It also rates users based on how quickly they complete requested actions, ensuring efficiency in long matches. If a user repeatedly fails to meet expected submission times and receives multiple negative reports, their account will be terminated and they will be banned from the platform. Additionally, submitting a “win” vote after two losses results in immediate account termination and a ban from the application.

The Massive Bracket Fair Play Guidelines document the importance of honesty and timely reporting.

Seasons run on a yearly basis from Jan 10th – Dec 10th where User rankings are based on performance.

2.0 BracketUI Roles

The BracketUI supports two distinct roles:

  • Player: Individuals who participate in bracket matches.
  • Official: Individuals who assist in the validation and security of Massive Bracket Matches. These individuals create bracket matches based on available pot evaluated on a monthly basis..

After a bracket is created, users may assume any available role. The Official role requires a separate application process via the website. The Massive application retains a service fee for each bracket.

Officials/Official Partners may organize “On-Site” Bracket Matches for trading card games, strategy board games, and digital competitive games.

Players are evaluated on win/loss success.

All users of the platform are evaluated on timely submission of required documentation and votes.

User Ratings for efficiency:

5:00-9:59 : Casual User

3.0 Bracket Management

3.1 Bracket Setup and Match Scheduling

The bracket creator (Official) must specify the expected number of participating teams(max 100 participants). The game and match type, selected prior to entering the BracketUI, will determine the estimated match duration. Bracket creators may observe user fair play and efficient ratings to potentially remove from the bracket. Creators can apply restrictions to brackets by user efficiency rating.

Matches are custom-built and are scheduled to commence 15 minutes after the bracket creator initiates the game within the application. Match duration will vary based on the game type. Each Bracket “round” will progress as 15 minutes of setup time + game-type-variable-time + 15 minutes submission time. The next round of the bracket will follow the same formula. Brackets may take several hours to complete.

Brackets are organized into three tiers based on the user’s current standing.

4.3 Win Validation Requirements & Disputes Overview

All players are required to submit a video recording of their gameplay for the entire duration of the match. Failure to upload the required video will result in forfeit. Players have a maximum of 24 hours to provide video documentation. Upon receipt of video documentation, the bracket creator will update the match winner.

Any matches where winners are disputed and officials are not available will result in both teams being removed from the bracket. Video submissions will be reviewed by the Massive application team within 48 hours. The final decision will result in a determination of the winner. A negative report is applied to the losing team. Two negative reports will result in disqualification and account termination.

The Massive Application is 10 USD.

5.0 Bracket Match Reporting and Social Feedback Metrics

5.1 Match Reporting

At the end of every match, all players of the match must report win or loss on the BracketUI Screen or on the BracketView Mobile Application. This is used to facilitate progress on the Bracket Visual. Officials join matches to provide “tie breaker” votes to ensure matches progress in case of dispute. Where matches do not have an official, disputed matches halt bracket operation. See Disputes for more details.
