Rhythm & You : Exhibitions Night @ Kontext
The Rhythm & You “Exhibitions Night” is an opportunity for new or upcoming artists to showcase three songs on a live broadcast with a studio audience. The Program allows for up to three bands or artists to perform a night. Entertainment is provided by the DJ before and after the show. We allow a jam session at the end of the night for artists and guests until close. No covers during the Jam Session, be prepared to play on scale & key with the Jam Leader. (No Shinanigans Please 🙂)
Jam Leader? Yes, we will elect jam leaders to own the stage and select scale & key to jam on. This provides the group guidance and a starting point to create an idea. Jam leader has full authority to eject persons from the stage. Jam session methodology will be explained below.
We promote creative activities for guests: painting supplies will be available for free usage in the garden where stage music inside is replicated outside. Let the energy inside provide inspiration as paint and pencil.
No Dancing Required ✌️ Yoga is allowed outside 💪

Promotions
General Admission will be allowed for those that subscribe to broadcasting channels and social media platforms of Rhythm & You. At the door, present a channel you have not followed to the receptionist, click subscribe, show the receptionist, and you are ready for the night.
General Admission is allowed to those wearing a Rhythm & You t-shirt.

Broadcast Zone
A limited area in front of the stage will be visible during the broadcast. Interaction with guests during a performance is a natural and evaluated concept. Supporters of artists encourage others in the crowd by dancing. These are the reasons we include a small limited space into the live stream for supporters. Join your favorite new artists in their broadcast!
The Broadcast Zone will be marked on the floor and by barrier. Purchase of General Admission enters the guest into agreement to allow recording of themselves within the broadcast zone.
Art Program
The Art Program consists of basic art supplies in a safe space to be used while still enjoying the entertainment on stage. Acrylic and pencil with canvas and paper will be available in limited quantities.
Jam Method
Getting Started
A Jam Leader is first elected within the group. The Jam Leader selects a scale and key for everyone to start from. Whoever is using a rhythm or bass instrument should select at least two notes on the scale starting from the base key. Tempo & Rhythm is initiated by percussion, keyboard, rhythm guitar, and bass in that priority and order when available. Everyone aligns on the selected notes and rhythm with their own instruments.
Groove Into The Rhythm
Jam leader will signal someone to take lead, who will then fall out of the rhythm and attempt to groove an idea into the rhythm. When ready, the leading artist may fall back into the rhythm to end their turn. The Jam Leader may signal to the leading artist to cut their session short to allow time for other players. Each person on stage gets a turn at the leading position, where during that time each other person supports the original rhythm. After two complete cycles through the entire group the Jam Leader should close that rhythm and start selection of a new key and scale.
