Massive Program Documentation

1.0 Introduction

1.1 Overview and Workflow

The “Massive Bracket Event Wagering System,” hereafter referred to as “Massive,” is a platform designed to organize standalone single-elimination bracket-based events for games and creative endeavors. A Bracket is a single elimination “event” resulting in a single winning person or team. “BracketUI” is the application that allows users to interact with a game bracket that is displayed to track the match’s progression, share game and user details, and manage steps for match validation.

This system integrates with the XTRM platform, enabling a wagering system that facilitates the conversion of in-game currency (“Game Bucks” & “Victory Bucks”) to real currency. Platform users must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid bank account. Registration requires the use of an email address associated with the user’s XTRM platform account.

Upon initial registration on the website, a user account is established. Following registration, users are directed to purchase and download the Massive application for $10 USD. This purchase is converted to 10 Game Bucks, the platform’s internal currency.

Within the application, users log in using their registered credentials and link their XTRM account Wallet ID for Game Bucks transactions and wagering. Once account setup is complete, users may select a game and bracket type for participation. Each bracket type for each game is presented individually, displaying both active and pending brackets.

The BracketUI in the Massive application is where bracket events are joined or created.

The platform tracks performance metrics, including user win/loss ratios and wagers collected. It also rates users based on how quickly they complete requested actions, ensuring efficiency in long matches. If a user repeatedly fails to meet expected submission times and receives multiple negative reports, their account will be terminated and they will be banned from the platform. Additionally, submitting a “win” vote after two losses results in immediate account termination and a ban from the application.

The Massive Bracket Fair Play Guidelines document the importance of honesty and timely reporting.

Seasons run on a yearly basis from Jan 10th – Dec 10th where User rankings are based on the total value of wagers earned.

2.0 BracketUI Roles

The BracketUI supports three distinct roles:

  • Player: Individuals who participate in bracket matches.
  • Sponsor: Individuals who support teams participating in bracket matches.
  • Official: Individuals who assist in the validation and security of Massive Bracket Matches, and who may establish custom wager ranges for brackets.

After a bracket is created, users may assume any available role. The Official role requires a separate application process via the website. Players may wager between 1 and 8 Game Bucks per match. All brackets initiate with a baseline bid of 2 Game Bucks per player per team. The maximum wager for players is 10 Game Bucks. Entry-level brackets accommodate one Sponsor, who contributes 2 Game Bucks to the team wager. Officials spectate brackets and provide additional details for a 2% fee of the outcome pot. All player-created brackets adhere to Entry-Level policies. Only brackets created by Officials may adjust player wagers, minimum bids, and sponsor amounts. The Massive application retains a 5% fee of the outcome pot for each bracket.

Officials/Official Partners may organize “On-Site” Bracket Matches for trading card games, strategy board games, and digital competitive games.

Players are evaluated on win/loss success and wagers accumulated over time.

All users of the platform are evaluated on timely submission of required documentation and votes.

User Ratings for efficiency:

0-4:59 : Massive Professional User

5:00-9:59 : Casual User

10:00 – 15:00 : Entry User

3.0 Bracket Management

3.1 Bracket Setup and Match Scheduling

The bracket creator must specify the expected number of participating teams. The game and match type, selected prior to entering the BracketUI, will determine the estimated match duration. Bracket creators may observe user fair play and efficient ratings to potentially remove from the bracket. Creators can apply restrictions to brackets by user efficiency rating.

Matches are custom-built and are scheduled to commence 15 minutes after the bracket creator initiates the game within the application. Match duration will vary based on the game type. Each Bracket “round” will progress as 15 minutes of setup time + game-type-variable-time + 15 minutes submission time. The next round of the bracket will follow the same formula. Brackets may take several hours to complete.

Brackets are organized into three tiers based on the user’s current total asset value(Game & Victory Bucks).  Users below 100 value may only play in 2 Game Buck entry brackets. Users between 100-1000 may create and play in 100 Game Buck entry brackets.  Users with >1000 value may create and play for 1000 Game Buck brackets.

3.1.1 Bracket Placement & Priority

The team with the highest wager is given priority and the opportunity to pass playing certain stages during uneven team stages. This gives higher wagering teams a better chance to play less during long events with multiple rounds, potentially leading to more wins and furthering support for the Massive Application.

4.0 Financial Aspects

There are two currencies in Massive:

  • Game Bucks
  • Victory Bucks

Game Bucks are starting currency and used to enter bracket events.  Game Bucks are provided to all players each month based on the current total value of the user.  User evaluation is based on total Game and Victory Bucks.  Game Bucks may not be exported for real currency.

Victory Bucks are awarded when winning a bracket event as a player, sponsor, or official. Victory Bucks are used similarly to Game Bucks, but may also be redeemable at a rate of 1 USD via XTRM wallet.

4.1 Wager System

The wager system is designed to provide a monetization avenue for players, sponsors, and officials involved in Massive brackets.

Two wager system types are available:

  • Entry (Unofficiated)
  • Professional (Officiated)

Entry matches commence with a minimum bid of 2 Game Bucks per team member. One sponsor may join each team with a 2 Game Buck bid until the bracket is full or the bracket creator starts the match. Player wagers are not publicly visible but determine bracket placement priority.

Professional brackets are created by Massive Application Officials.

4.2 Win Validation Requirements & Disputes Overview

All players are required to submit a video recording of their gameplay for the entire duration of the match. Failure to upload the required video will result in forfeit. Players have a maximum of 24 hours to provide video documentation. Upon receipt of video documentation, the bracket creator will update the match winner.

Any matches where winners are disputed and officials are not available will result in both teams being removed from the bracket. Video submissions will be reviewed by the Massive application team within 48 hours. Final decision will result in all wagers being sent to the winning team. A negative report is applied to the losing team. Two negative reports will result in disqualification and account termination.

4.3 Payout Process

Payouts are processed monthly with the Monthly Reward. Payouts are contingent upon the completion of all validation requirements and voting procedures by all players. Final Payouts are subject to a 5% transaction fee.

4.4 Monthly Reward

Each user receives a monthly allowance of two Game Bucks to encourage community engagement based on user status.

Entry: 0-100

Champion:100 – 1000

Grand Champion: >1000

Players of the Champion Tier, or 100 – 1000 Victory Bucks, will receive 100 Game Bucks Monthly while maintaining the total value required.

Players of Grand Champion status must maintain a minimum of 1000 Victory Bucks monthly and receive 1000 Game Bucks

4.5 Game Bucks

Game Bucks are the currency of the Massive Bracket platform, with a redeemable value of 1 USD per Game Buck. Game Bucks may be purchased within the Massive BracketUI application. A maximum of 50 Game Bucks may be purchased per month. All new users receive 10 Game Bucks upon account creation.

4.6 Massive BracketUI Costs

The Massive Application is 10 USD.

5.0 Bracket Match Reporting and Social Feedback Metrics

5.1 Match Reporting

At the end of every match, all players of the match must report win or loss on the BracketUI Screen or on the BracketView Mobile Application.  This is used to facilitate progress on the Bracket Visual.  Officials join matches to provide “tie breaker” votes to ensure matches progress in case of dispute.  Where matches do not have an official, disputed matches halt bracket operation and current wagers won at bracket stage will be distributed. See Disputes for more details.

Player Feedback

Small optional comments players may leave about other users.

Sponsor Feedback

Small optional comments about the player they sponsored.

Official’s Feedback

Small optional comments around the activity

5.2 Reporting Response Time Metrics

0-4:59 : Massive Professional User

5:00-9:59 : Casual User

10:00 – 15:00 : Entry User

6.0 Bracket Payout Calculations

The payout process is managed in percentages based upon a wagered amount. The payout calculation works the same for both Entry and Professional Events. The player percentage is based on the total value waged against the total team’s value waged. In the case of solo teams this means they always receive full compensation for added wage. Events start with a 2 Game Buck buy in.

7.0 Disputes

Disputes are resolved according to category:

  • Officiated
  • Unofficiated

Officiated Matches have disputes concluded by the Official with the deciding vote on who won the match.  Matches where officials are needed to be stepped in will have recordings observed for fair play assurance. Players losing officiated decisions will receive a negative report

Matches disputed without officials are immediately halted at the current stage of the bracket and wages are paid out.  Both receive a pending negative report, subject to review.

Failure to provide video documentation will always result in a loss and negative report.
